Voor wie nog niet weet wat het is/wordt volgt hier een engelstalige beschrijving:
Globe.4D is a four dimensional globe to be used for educational purposes. It is a real sphere, on which the surface of the Earth is projected in real-time and can viewed from all sides by turning it. As an extra dimension ‘time’ is added so you can see the earth changing through the centuries/eras. When one goes backwards in time far enough, the continents will be moving, an ice age will come and disappear and so on.
The device can be used for all kind of subjects at school but also in other educational environments such as in a museum of natural history. For instance in teaching history Globe.4D can be used to play a program that goes back to the era of the dinosaurs, but also how and when people migrated all over the world . Another possibility is to trace the routes of the ships of Columbus or the VOC (Dutch traders in 17th century). For the subject geography, Globe.4D can train someone’s topographical or geographical knowledge, by showing where New York is, which places on earth are most crowded, what routes do airplanes take, what the effect of a tsunami is on the earth, and how a typhoon moves.
Novel about this idea is that in contrast to traditional methods, people learn about the world from a flat screen or a book. Globe.4D is a more realistic model of the earth, since it enables to choose the parameters time and place arbitrarily.

Leuk filmpje.
zag er profesioneel uit.
vooral doorgaan.
